Out of Towners

To our guests from Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Scotland, France, Germany, Holland, Kazakhstan, India and Dubai: We would like to suggest, if we may, some ways to plan your trip.

We planned our wedding on Thursday, so you can begin and end your trip on the weekend. We highly recommend arriving in Krakow around 18-19th of July. Krakow is one of most beautiful cities in Poland with an enormous central market square (shopping, cathedrals, fine dining, live music). We may be there at that time as well (wedding plans permitting), and groups of us may wine and dine together.

You can fly directly to Krakow (from Chicago or London for example) or take a train from Warsaw (2h 45m) or Wroclaw (4 hours). Polish trains are efficient and comfortable.

Information about airlines, ground transportation, accommodation, and Krakow in general is available on other pages on the website.

If you start your weekend in Krakow, you should plan to arrive at Kliczkow Castle on Tuesday July 22nd, or at latest, the morning on July 23rd. That’s so you won’t miss the Wild Boar pre-wedding party.

If you stay at Kliczkow Castle for a minimum of 3 nights, two meals each day are included in the price of your accommodation. We suggest you choose to eat breakfast and lunch, as Ewa and Jeff will provide your dinner on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

When in Kliczkow you can take advantage of the resort facilities - pool, sauna, spa, horseback riding, biking, fishing, tennis, and, you can take a trip to Boleslawiec for shopping, ceramic shop tour, and a walk around the city square (be sure to stop at the sidewalk cafes for a Polish pint).

The beautiful city of Wroclaw is only 1.5 hours away from Kliczkow.

Another option is to attend the wedding first and then proceed to Krakow the weekend following.

Please be careful when driving in Poland. Some roads are very busy and narrow. When in the cities you will be walking, or, if you need a cab, fares are very reasonable and many cab drivers speak some English.

If we can assist in helping you organize your trip, please let us know. Ewa can help you with travel tips and translations, and Jeff will share his experience and advice on how to deal with Poles :)
