From UsDear Guests, Thanks for planning to celebrate our Wedding. We hope both our Canadian and international guests will find their trip to Poland to be a memorable experience. Poles (Ewa's family and friends) love to party, so make sure to practice drinking, eating and dancing to keep up with them! Note from Jeff: I loved my trip to Poland. If you’re ambivalent about the wedding, come for the castles, the live wedding entertainment (Omen Band) and the vodka! The pre-wedding roast boar dinner (July 23rd) at the 11th century Castle Grodziec will be a great adventure. For the Wedding reception (July 24th), bring your dancing shoes. The Omen Band provides top-notch entertainment from classical to Elvis to disco to impersonations. And for those who can stand it, even a little karaoke! They will play until the last person is dancing. The food will be provided by Castle Kliczkow’s best chefs. There will be wild mushroom soup, roast duck and plenty of Chateau Kliczkow bottled wine. But Poles love to eat. So as soon as dinner is over, a hot and cold buffet, complete with desert table, will be served into the wee hours of the morning. And just to make sure the neighbours are awake, there is a fireworks display just before the wedding cake is served. Did we mention Poles like vodka? Well, there will be an open bar (closing at 04:00) with, among other spirits, at least ten types of vodka. We are hoping you will try them all! According to Polish tradition, the “newly-weds” do not abandon their guests on the wedding night (shucks!). They stay for the After Wedding Party (July 25th). We will have an outdoor event in the courtyard at Castle Kliczkow. And don’t worry – the Castle can accommodate most special meal requests. If you have special requests or certain allergies please let us know. Love |
